FABRICS
At BD Blinds, we offer high-quality, UV-resistant materials, ensuring that the finished product will be up to our standards. We offer a selection of three material variants, each applicable according to what its use will be.
BLACKOUT FABRIC
Commonly known as the “Sun-Block” type of material, this is one of the most effective ways of blocking the sun’s rays from entering the area. Its textured fabric increases the durability of the material and doubles as anti-reflective. Thanks to its flexible material, it can apply to any format of blind style and has a high level of elasticity; which is ideal since Maltese heat can be very intense.
SHADED FABRIC
A cross-breed between the screen and blackout fabrics, the shaded fabric offers a middle ground for both blocking sunlight and allowing slight visualisation of the outdoors. This is a newly-made fabric and is increasing in popularity due to its versatile uses - Allowing natural light to enter, blocking sun rays and its one-way semi-vision.
SCREEN FABRIC
This micro-perforated fabric provides a moderate grade of sun blockage. However, such fabric enables the user to still have a view of the outdoors and keep a room slightly lit up, whilst still blocking UV sun rays from entering the room. This has become very fashionable due to its versatile texture and its uses that can adapt to any format of blind style.
